Course Description
Assisted or accelerated dental hygiene is an evolving practice model designed to increase efficiency, improve access to care, and enhance practice productivity while maintaining high standards of patient care. This course provides a comprehensive overview of the accelerated hygiene concept, including its structure, workflow design, and clinical considerations.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of how assisted hygiene functions within a dental practice, the operational steps required for successful implementation, and the financial metrics that drive its viability. The program will break down the mathematical framework behind accelerated hygiene—helping attendees analyze production, scheduling, and profitability with confidence.
In addition, this course will present a balanced discussion of the advantages and potential challenges associated with this model, allowing practitioners to evaluate whether it aligns with their practice philosophy and team dynamics. Cancellation Policy: Once materials have been sent to registrants, no refunds will be given regardless of course completion.
Other: In order to receive credit:
Self-Study Post-Test must be completed and submitted to the NV AGD via email within 30 days of course receipt. Score requirements: 8 of the 10 questions (80% score) must be answered correctly. One additional retest is permitted at no additional charge. Any additional retests will require a $25 administrative fee. Once the course materials are sent to registrants, they have 30 days to complete the program and submit the posttest.
Verification of registration and correct fees is required to receive credit. Registering as a member, when you are not a member will result in additional fees.
